Question on Touch Screens for Hauptwerk

Hello all: I'm about to purchase my first 24" touch screen to work with Hauptwerk. I've reviewed the current User Guide for Hauptwerk and unless I somehow missed it, there's nothing in the User Guide that addresses Touch Screens, hence my question here.

I think the answer to my questions(s) will likely come from those of you that already a have Touch Screen with Hautpwerk.

So here goes:

Touch Monitor:

I'm considering the ViewSonic TD2421 24" Touch Screen
(Viewsonic's website: https://www.viewsonic.com/us/td2421.html)

I selected the Viewsonic model because Viewsonic makes great monitors, BUT mainly because I saw that the TC2421 was listed as part of a large Haupwerk organ for sale running ver 4.x of Hautpwerk - so apparently it must work. However, as with everything in life - and Hauptwerk - the Devil is always in the details...

So the question is:

When this, or any other Touch Screen for that matter, is used with Hauptwerk, is it connected to the host computer running Hauptwerk using two connection cables, one being a USB connection (to send data back and forth between Hauptwerk) and the other cable being either a VGA, DVI-D, etc. for the actual screen display ? OR.. does it just require a single cable using either a standard VGA or DVI-D cable ?

Thanking those of you in advance that can provide any answers.

RE: Question on Touch Screens for Hauptwerk

You have to use both cables
VGA, DVI-D is just only for the screen, USB is for the touch part (information where you touch the screen and sent it to you PC, the Hauptwerk program)

I suspected that's what is required...

Thank you evert-jan for confirming for me.

RE: Question on Touch Screens for Hauptwerk

I am using a ViewSonic touch screen model VS16530 in a set up with 2 other monitors without any problems. Yes, indeed, USB for touch mode.

Thanks Guido for your comments. Since my original post I set up two of the Viewsonic and they are working very nicely. The image of your keyboards is very nice... may I ask whom the maker of those keyboards is? Thanks again.
