Hauptwerk audio recording of multiple channels

Hi all,

I need to ask for help again (rather post this here, because Milan does not seem to do the right thing by me in terms of allowing me a log-in for their Forum):

I have experienced no problems progressing to an Advanced Hauptwerk installation. I've re-programmed my organ downloads, they now use my multiple channel configuration, sending audio to my multiple amplifying options etc., etc.

But for my recordings, I discovered that Hauptwerk now produces more than one recording - in my case an audio recording of the main channels 1+2, and a second audio recording for channel 3+4.

I've been unable to find a Hauptwerk solution in the 321-page User Guide that enables me that set Hauptwerk so it combines ALL channels 1+2+3+4 into one stereo WAV recording instead of two. Have I missed something? Can this get resolved in Hauptwerk?

HI, so, you are recording directly from Hauptwerk?

You need to create a third audio output that is a "mix-down", so that it combines both audio outputs. You can choose whether this mix-down audio group is recorded, and in which format, even though it is not sent to an amplifier and speakers. Also be sure that the combined audio does not get too loud and clip on large registrations. You can reduce the level of any of the mix-down inputs as needed.

I don't have access to a HW user guide, so I can't send you to a specific page, but if you search on mix-down you should find the correct page in the audio outputs area.

Thank you! --- This is the clear and simple answer I was hoping to exist.

User Guide is here:

https://www.hauptwerk.com/clientuploads/documentation/CurrentUserGuide/HauptwerkInstallationAndUserGuide.pdf

I found it on page 167. Now I can read and fiddle until it all works!
