iLOK Questions


First question: Got my iLOK account set up, bought Hauptwerk update from 4 to 5, put activation code in iLOK, it shows I have zero 'Number of Licenses'. Is that normal?

Second question: Reading the Hauptwerk V User Guide it tells me to navigate to my downloaded file. I haven't seen any option to download anything, do I have to remove all the version four software and start fresh?

I'd suggest posting on the HW Forum. Are you using an iLok/USB or cloud?

As I remember (two days ago is too long to recall for sure), you still have to click on the license entry in iLok License Manager to actually "activate" the license.

Haven't been able to find any information about how to set up cloud iLOK, so ordered a dongle. It should arrive tomorrow or next day. I'll let you know the results.

The dongle arrived yesterday and I plugged it into the computer. Downloaded version V, took three tries but it did complete on the third. Installed it with all settings retained from previous version (you have to un-check a few boxes). Everything works as it did before. The option to store iLOK in the cloud is available after linking it to Hauptwerk which happens after the installation of V is finished.
