About the sound quality, 'real' or 'enhanced'

Since the new HW 5, added reverb can be very misleading about global sound quality of a sampleset.
it could be easy on the browse page, under the organ's name, to add the software's version. ( The uploader would have to specify if the recording has been made with HV 4 or HW 5.) I think it could be more clear for the listener because convolution reverb can really twist the real sound of an instrument and fool the customer.
(as for the 'Midi' or 'Live' option)

Can you please add such a feature ?

This is an important FRQ indeed.

RE: About the sound quality, 'real' or 'enhanced'

For some weeks now I run HW5, but w.r.t. the acoustics, I just installed the organs "out-of-the-box, without any audio tweating. But if you want clear info of Hauptwerk 4rep.5, then I wonder why you didn't have problems like this when HW 5 was not yet released but many Hauptwerk 4 users have Reaper on the system to add reverb, etc. Should we also have a parameter to filter on for this?

Hello Fred. Concerning Reaper, most of the upoader who used it, have said that they add reverb in their upload's description. It's a matter of honesty.

And a matter of interest on the listener's side, of course. I can remember that I listened to a bunch of recordings before I finally picked a sample set (NdM and Kaiserdom, to be more specific) from a list of pre-selected sets that I was generally interested in. One important aspect in my decision was the amount of reverb in a "wet set" -- and the RAM cost of it in comparison. I do like a very wet organ sound in most cases, but, sometimes, it has more of a bane than a boon...

Re-Hello
I understand, and I respect anyone's matter of taste.
I only ask for more boxes to check, to help the listener not being drunk or drowned in the wetness, or being fooled by advantageous makeup !!

dpmx677d For the information to be reliable, it should be mandatory to fill in while uploading and not present Hauptwerk 4 as the default.

Probably all my uploads till now are labeled Hauptwerk 4 because I overlooked the possibility to sepcify the software used.

Uploads (and not only mine) specified as H5 are probably correct. Uploads specified as Hauptwerk 4 are probably that, or the uploader overlooked the possibility to specify the software used (as I did) or the uploader just didn't bother because the upload button works anyway.
