Help needed - midi file download

Hello - I am trying to find a midi (organ) file for Handel's La Rejouissance. I have a 3 manual Hauptwerk organ with various sample sets. I have injured my left hand but have been asked for this piece for a service in a couple of weeks. I just want a backup in case my hand is not recovered. Can anyone out there help me? I would be SO grateful.

Many thanks
Charlie

Hello Charlie,

Check these links with stefanussen's performances:

https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/24402
https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/19945
https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/19917

I guess you should put in contact with him before using his midi files.

I hope you have a swift recovery.

Many thanks for this Jose and I will, of course, contact the organists if I wanted to use the file, to get his permissions. I think this website and Forum are great. Which instrument do you have? You will see the picture of mine with my name. A complete rebuild of an old Wyvery 4 manual now a 3 manual 32 rank WurliTzer with full traditional console - moving tabs etc. but also with classical sample sets available on touchscreen. Very interesting project.

Again, thank you for your help. I am located in Scotland but if I can ever be of help to you, just ask.

All best
Charlie (McGillivray-Davidson)

Thank you for your kind reply. I am glad you have the midi files in case you cannot play.
Your post cried my attention because I always play Haendel's "La Rejouissance" at weddings!
You have an interesting hybrid organ, indeed.
I am from Spain. I play mainly Baroque repertoire using St. Maximin, Poblet, Ebersmunster and Stade samplesets from a three manual Viscount console.

Best regards,
José

That is very interesting Jose. Although I am Scottish and currently live near Edinburgh, I lived in Malaga Spain for many years. I still have an apartment in El Campanario, Cerrado de Calderon, Malaga. I have a 3 manual Conn organ there but also, I put an Allen Organ into the local church. I say 'I put' - what I mean is, the local priest Padre Alfonso stole it from me! No quite - I lent it to the church which he had built and he never gave it back. Alfonso is a great character and is now in charge of Malaga Cathedral - wonderful pipe organ there is you are ever in Malaga.

Again, many thanks for your help. My hand is improving, so hopefully I will be able to play La Rejouissance live but it is good to have a 'Plan B'.

Saludos,
Charlie

Funny! This world is really little… I was born in Granada, near Málaga, although I am currently living in Catalonia.

If you ever come back to Spain, I will be glad to invite you to play the organ in my church.

Take care, amigo
José

RE: Help needed - midi file download

Hi all

I'd like to download and play some MIDI files - but lots of performances here don't offer the option.
Is there any way to sort performances to select those which do offer MID downloads?
