Description: | Kenneth Gange (b. 1939) was born in South Wales but has lived and worked in the Midlands since 1959, teaching in Birmingham and Cannock. As a composer he is selftaught, and has written mostly smallscale works piano pieces, organ music, carols, and church music.
The delightful, "A Tune for the Trumpet" was published in 1998 by Oecumuse, and is dedicated to Paul Edwards (b. 1955), a popular English organist and composer.
This piece, delicate and tuneful, reminds of "A Trumpet Minuet" by Alfred Hollins.
I received this piece from Caron Cooman, to whom I have dedicated it - not just for this work, but for all of his friendship and support!
My hearing, at the moment, is the best it's been in months, so, while I can, I'm trying to get back to playing and uploading.
I THANK all of my great friends for the care and kindness. I TRULY appreciate all of the friendship that I find here!
Incidentally, this piece uses the Solo Tromba and NOT the Tuber... ;-) |
