The much performed (and represented here), meditative Elegy for organ by Sir George Thomas Thalben-Ball.

Thanks to other posters here, I'm still learning and working on adding English compositions to my repertoire (I didn't see Elegy posted on the Salisbury Cathedral Father Willis, so I went ahead with it!)

My treatment may be considered a little dry; liberal use of celeste but tremulant only added for the last two entries of the melody at the end (I hope Keys61 is okay with that!)

For the beginning, I try to show what I think is a real nice "solo stop" sound in the choir; using its Open Diapason, Salicional and Flute Harmonique.

The middle is easy on the Salisbury, I just let it speak for itself!
