My version of the Franck work. I don't claim this to be a traditional or "authentic" performance.
This work suggests a dialogue bewteen a male character (Foundations at the beginning) and a softer, feminine character (solo voices). After a while the male softens from his austere and asertive presonna into one the sings a tender love song to the female character (the tenor line). After a climax, the softer, lyrical theme repeats.
I was interested to find in the center section 5 parts that translate into 1st violin, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello and Contrebass. Perfect for this "Orchestration".
