From the movie sound track "The Mission", I heard this for the first time several years ago with organ and flute. Although the organist was willing to share various pieces of music with me through the years, he would not share this one in order to keep a promise to a friend.

I stumbled on this quite by accident in an Amy Grant collection of Christmas music for piano (I don't get that connection myself). Easily adapted to organ, I often play this with just flute for the solo lines. It is often requested at funerals. Here you get a bit of both flute and a trumpet playing the oboe part. The organ's oboe felt week to me.

I'm having a heck of time recording. I'm not sure if it is Doesburg or my setup or something else. Perhaps I should record on a different organ?
