This sweet music matches exactly with its title. Although the piece is indicated at 3/4, Dupré wrote the left hand like 6/8, the right hand 3/4, and most of the pedal is syncopated (3rd beat linked to next 1st beat). The result is a gentle swaying, permanent but not exactly the same one from one bar to the next one.
On can guess that Dupré liked peculiarly this little choral because he choose it as a "filler" for his recording of his symphonie-Passion ha made at Saint-Ouen in 1965.
The tempo is slower than indicated on the score. For those who would like to hear it at the prescribed tempo, a second version is added from 1'45, strictly in the score's tempo.
