Composer: James, John

Sample Set: J. A. Silbermann-Metzler, Arlesheim
Software: Hauptwerk
Genre: Baroque
Description:
The only reference I have to John James is of the book I was playing this piece from:
Old English organ music by C.H. Trevor and of a website reference.

It is stated that James died in 1745 and that he was an English composer and organist of whom little is known, except that he was reputedly a turbulent figure with a supposedly extravagant style of playing,

This is not noticeably reflected in his cheerful and well-written Voluntary in A minor.
