Description: | This upload was an afterthought, as it based on the same melody as my hymn upload, "The glory of these forty days".
I guess it really doesn't matter, as it makes a solemn Lenten statement on its own.
The registration is essentially "organo pleno", including the full pedal with the 32' reed, but without pedal couplers.
COMPOSER UPDATE!!!
This piece is given as having been written by Pachelbel and NOT Buxtehude! Here is link to the score: https://musopen.org/sheetmusic/15244/johann-pachelbel/chorale-preludes/
It's the first prelude in Vol. 2 of the Chorale Preludes. |
