Description: | This piece comes for the collection of 65 Chorale Improvisations, and although it is the tune for "All glory, laud, and honor", Karg-Elert had no Palm Sunday ideas in mind when he wrote this.
I think the piece works well on this organ, although it required a little "fiddling" to get it "right". If you listen, you'll hear the tune in the pedal. These phrases are emphasized by the addition of the the Violone 16 and the Cello 8" in the Pedal each time they appear.
The listening perspective on this is 100% from the rear with nothing in the front.
I hadn't intended to do ANY "organ music" for Palm Sunday, but earlier today, I got the urge, so I tried to hurry up and get some done.
I picked 4 settings of "Valet will ich dir geben" (All glory, laud, and honor) and got three of them done, and hopefully, I can upload the 4th, and largest one, tomorrow. |
