Today I have the great pleasure of uploading a wonderful work by one of our talented members, Jan Vermeulen.
The work is a prelude and fugue, based on a chorale melody which sets the text of Psalm 105. As I don't know any Dutch, I've got an English translation for the first verse of the Psalm: O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples. I don't really "recognize" the melody, but it is VERY close to several that I do know.

Rather than try to "copy" this splendid upload, I chose my "usual" style, and "converted" this to the grand, English cathedral manner.
I've changed none of the notes, but I have "filled out" the texture here and there, always keeping strictly in accordance with Jan's original composition.
The work is festive, triumphant, and ceremonial, and "translates" very well to the Salisbury organ, the sounds of which fully justify the opinion of the Willis firm - that THIS was their greatest accomplishment.
I've attached the score below.
Please congratulate Jan on this splendid work. I think you would find it very well worth the time spent to learn and perform it.
BIG BRAVO, Jan, and THANKS for giving me the opportunity of performing your piece! :-)
