Handel wrote some pieces for Clay's musical clock by 1740. They can be played on organ and are in an interesting relation to the composer's organ concertos: they sound like miniature organ concerto solos. The range of the pieces is limited because of the original small mechanical instrument: two octaves c to c'''.
