Description:
For those interested -

I am currently traveling by sailboat (Singlehanding 33' Gaff rigged cutter) from NY harbor to Melbourne, FL.

I am currently close to the SC-GA border.

I am blogging the trip and creating musical sketches as I go along. I seldom have enough Internet access to post to Contrebombarde, but since this evening I do, I will upload some of the pieces. In general, they are quasi-improvisatory, for HW organ, synthesizers and found audio.

I almost missed them. Strange little larval creatures that had been clinging to my anchor, now struggling in the rapidly drying puddles of water on my deck. I thought at first they were tiny silverfish, but silverfish do not actually live in the sea, And while close, that is not exactly what they looked like. Whatever they were, they were struggling and although my now unanchored and free floating boat needed attending to, something inside compelled me to have compassion on these tiny creatures. So grabbing a bucket I lowered it into to the water and and taking the water I gently washed every one of - whatever they were - back into the sea.
