Description: | Those expecting fireworks from this upload, will be grossly disappointed.
This Tiento de Falsas by Cabanilles is an introvert piece, which is played entirely on the HW Principal 8 and Holzflohte 4.
I contemplated playing the same piece on a period Spanish organ sampleset as a comparison (Frechilla), but decided it would not add anything extra to this recording.
The two samplesets would sound different ofcourse, the churches are different, so the interpretation would have been different too. Like comparing apples to bananas.
Suffice to say, that this piece sounds beautiful on the excellently voiced stops of the Poblet Metzler aided by the great acoustics, floating in the vast space of the Monastery.
Enjoy! |
