Composer: Charles Burney (1726 - 1814)
Sample Producer: OrganArt Media
Sample Set: 2012 Metzler, Poblet Abbey, Spain
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Charles Burney 7 April 1726 – 12 April 1814) was an English music historian, composer and musician. He was father of the writers Frances Burney and Sarah Burney, the explorer James Burney, and Charles Burney, classicist and book donor to the British Museum.

This appealing fugue for manuals only sets up a strong rhythmic drive from the outset which is maintained throughout. I have added selected sounds from the Unterwerk and Ruckpositiv to colour the Great Principal chorus in a manner suggestive of a baroque English organ.

This is another work from “Old English Organ Music for Manuals” – Book 1 – edited by C. H. Trevor and published by OUP.

MIDI file attached.
