Description: | In Dutch we have a saying, "A donkey doesn't hit the same stone twice", implying that whoever makes the same mistake twice, is a donkey...
Almost two years ago I published a prelude to "Gelobet seist du Jesu Christ". In the manuscript source (a manuscript from Johann Gottfried Walther) no composer is given. I thought it was perhaps by Buttstett. Archenpigeon informed me it was a piece by Pachelbel. Last week I transcribed the same piece from one of the other Walther manuscripts. I had completely forgotten I had already published this piece. In this second manuscript Walther does not give a composer either. And again I thought I could perhaps guess the composer. This time I thought it could be a piece from Zachow. Luckily I checked what i had already published based on this choral melody.
So, not quite a donkey, but I came close... :-)
I had already made a recording, so I might as well upload it. Nice for comparison's sake, as I choose a completely different registration and tempo that the first recording.
