Recently, I've been given the opportunity to make some "demos" and to do a review of the fine new sample set of the Steinmayer organ at St. Magnus in Marktoberdorf.
While the organ is modest in size, it does possess variety and color, and can play a pretty wide spectrum of the literature.
"Trois Oraisons" were published by Durand in 1910. By definition, an "oraison" is an "oration" (of some type), although these oraisons seem more like prayers. This is certainly the case with the one I've uploaded.
It was impossible to follow Guilmant's registration directions, but the sound is still a pleasing one.
