Walker Baylor (1891–1975) — Recitative and Chorale (1969) for organ
Walker Baylor (1891–1975) was a composer and organist whose spent his career in the cities and towns surrounding Chicago, Illinois. He served as organist for several churches and was also very active as a theater organist, performing regularly for films at several theaters and at the Melrose Park and North Avenue roller skating rinks. As a composer, Baylor published sacred organ compositions with the Lorenz Publishing Co. and G. Schirmer. His organ works included two major concert suites: “From the Holy Land” and “In a Medieval Monstery.”
