Johann Sebastian Bach's, Dritter Teil der Klavierübung uncludes an often ignored number of 'manualiter' pieces. The opening Kyrie lists three items, sometimes called the 'Small Kyrie', BWV 672, 673 and 674.
These pieces have been important in my return to an active organist - because they are not to be sneered at: "Papa Bach" sticks to his agenda of presenting a "keyboard practice", and these small and often undervalued pieces have been relentless to my stiff fingers, muscles and tendons alike!
The item on this page is the second one in the trio: BWV 673 - Christe, aller Welt Trost
