My dear fellow organists. This will be my last upload, and after this I will be signing off. I thank everyone for their helpful feedback and encouragement, and I hope you all continue to advance in your talents for the greater glory of God. I chose this piece as it is one of my favourites, and I think it is apposite due to its strong, pompous style, and yet also moving approach.
Louis Vierne stated he was disappointed with the short available recording time on the 78 rpm discs, and yet he was still able to place all his heart and emotion into these short improvisations. Although it is not the style of his regular improvisations, which were never recorded, it is nonetheless beautiful and well thought out, and serves as a great goodbye but also a majestic entrance.
