Three years ago I uploaded a performance of the "Short Trio in G" by the contemporary composer Simon Peberdy. To my surprise the composer heard this performance and responded by dedicating one of his newest compositions - entitled "Short Trio in A minor" - to me.
At last I've finally reached the point of being able to upload this lovely piece. It was more challenging to learn than the G major work, especially in regard to phrasing. I made several attempts but each time didn't get past the first page.
A few weeks ago I decided to make a definite push to get this work under control - and here's the result.
I've used the St Mary-le-Bow sample set (multi-channel). After much experimentation with stops I settled for an interplay between the RH part on the Great flute chorus against LH on the Swell Hautbois with its slow tremulant, and gentle sounds on the Pedal to balance.
This work can be purchased from here - either by itself or as part of a collection of short pieces for organ.
