Imagine a vast open swamp area, surrounded by green hills nearby and the huge massive of the Himalaya mountains right behind them. That's the place where Lotos flowers are floating by in front of the observer's eye, painting a peaceful image of nature that is still pristine and untouched by humans.
"Three Asian Doodles" is an on-spot improvisation based on the scheme of five-tone music -- where "based on" means that the rule was not followed exactly: Consisting of the six notes C, D, Eb, F, G and Bb, the scale is basically C-minor with the A note left out. There are further exceptions to this basic pattern, especially in the third and final doodle when the theme introduces major chords. The "music and virtual images" doodle series gradually increases in volume/dynamics over the course of the individual pieces/movements.
