Quite the curtain riser - beware this starts LOUD with all the 32's.
This is the 1938 piece by Ray Noble (1903 - 1978), the English composer and bandleader, which was originally intended as the first movement to his "Indian Suite". Due to its unique harmonic progressions, it has since become a jazz standard.
Here the Paramount is in big theatre mode which calls on all the massed resources of the behemoth. Despite her size, she is still light on her feet!!
