Description: | Composer, organ recitalist, and free-lance musician, Paul Bryan was born in 1950.
He has served as Director of Music at the choir school of St. John's College, Cambridge, and is organist for the Octagon Singers, based at Ely Cathedral.
"Carillon" has an easy appeal to it, as you get the feel of big bells swinging. It uses the full resources of the organ, and like MANY English pieces, gives the tuba a chance as well!
I played this for a postlude, and thought it might make a nice post here. I probably could have worked it out more carefully, but it sounds OK. There really aren't that many details, and it's quite straightforward. |
