Composer: * My Own Composition
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Caen - St. Etienne Cavaillé Coll
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Modern
Description:
This is my first Toccata. I use polytonal scales (of which I am very fond) and jazzy rhythms. I was inspired by the music of the Thirties in which many jazz harmonies can be heard. At some places there is a smile towards Verne and Duruflé. The toccata starts with a theme in sixteens that reminds me somewhat of Flor Peeters. It then modulates into a melodious and harmonious cheesy middle part and practically stands still at some point. Then to accellerate into a ostinato finale that restates the main theme in full organ in a dance like trance. I hope you like it. The score is attached to this post as a PDF.
