This recording is dedicated to Hoofdwerk and CarsonCooman, who pointed me to Johannes Weyrauch by their excellent recordings of two pieces on CCH:

Weyrauch composed seven partitas along the church year. Maybe, I will do a few more. Sheet music is available from Breitkopf & Härtel.
This partita on the Lenten hymn "Jesu, deine Passion" consists of four verses:
1. Agnus Dei
Choral in the soprano with free tenor solo
2. Qui tollis peccata mundi
Polyphonic three-part setting, very chromatic, the c.f. joining later in the tenor
3. Miserere nobis
My favorite - a beautiful two part canon developed by decorating the entire c.f.
4. Dona nobis pacem
A three part fugue, not too easy, the c.f. joining later in the soprano, developing into a broader chorale setting.
Again, the Holzhey shows its versatility... What a wonderful sampleset.
