Description:
This guy is new to me. However, the price for his organ books was cheap enough on Amazon so I thought why not? They are described as being a collection of easy pieces - they can be played on manuals or with pedals. We've all been in situations where we need some music fast that sounds good and is sight readable. Well this books seems to fit the bill.

This book contains numerous short works under two minutes long. A bumper group of 8 today giving nearly 10 minutes of music! No rhyme or reason why these are grouped together. Nothing particularly special in this group of uploads. However, they show off a wide variety of musical styles and registrations of the Klais organ.

My favourites are the choral, which is a lovely short piece and the cantique. 'Tale' - I have no idea what it is a tale of! It is very romantic in style though. The Canon is between Flute and Krummhorn which makes for an interesting piece. The first Intermezzo (39) is the more polished version of the accidental upload contained at the end of set V of these various pieces! The last piece, the second intermezzo (51) is a calmer piece. It might seem strange to end on an intermezzo but originally 'Solitude' was going to follow but I decided that it was best suited to its own upload.

We're now about halfway through the pieces in the book. There are a few longer pieces left now to upload on their own and a few more shorter 'filler' pieces to group together. A glorious toccata ends the book and will end the series of uploads.

1. 12. Mixolydian choral
2. 17. Choral
3. 18. Tale
4. 38. Canon
5. 39. Intermezzo
6. 43. Cantique
7. 45. Invention
8. 51. Intermezzo

Yes, the editing wasn't that great when combining the pieces!

Flor Peeters (1903 - 1986) was a Belgian organist, composer and teacher. To read more about him visit http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Lib/Peeters-Flor.htm.

Hope you enjoy.
