Description:
Or, if you want to be politically correct, "We undisclosed number of Magi from somewhere east are"... ;-)

The way this carol is written, both the music and the words, it has the ability to be both mysterious and majestic. It was my favourite carol as a child and one I learned quite early on in life, on my dad's old harmonium when I was about 9 or 10 I suppose. (Well before I had any intentions of playing organ!)

This starts off with a loose version of the melody in places, imitating the style of people like Tournemire I suppose. It then moves around a bit before leading to a more majestic ending section in C major, before returning to a quiet, mysterious but still majestic ending.
