This piece has been a real discovery to me. And maybe it needs to be discovered by listening twice or more...
While listening and practicing I've realized beautiful Vierne-like harmonies and a kind of "logical flow" to lead the piece to a vigorous ending.
There are many "sf"- passages in the piece as well which make the interpretation interesting and challenging as well.
The registration on the GSCC follows the "neoclassical" instructions of the composer, so there are no tierce mixtures, and the 16' reeds are not used until the last page of the piece.
Enjoy!
