Description: | It seems when the Pilgrim's shot this year's turkey, they may have killed the whole holiday -- my happy song of thanksgiving is almost a dirge. Since I haven't had a pedalboard underfoot since 1976 until a few weeks ago and I've spent more time programming stops and couplers to MIDI controls than practicing; stepping on the base notes of the chords are really slowing down the chord changes (hope this improves with practice). Sorry the tempo is so slow! I just couldn't practice it anymore and have it uploaded so that I can direct all my friends and coworkers who knew I am setting up a VPO to hear it for the Holiday. Promise Christmas will be better.
Registration:
Great (Melody): Harmonic Flute 8, Flute 4, Great 16, Great 8.
Swell (Chords full open): RohrFlote 8, Flauto Dolce 8, Flute Celeste 8, Triangle Flute 4, Flautino 2.
Pedal (Chord Roots): Untersatz 32, Contra Bass 16, Gedeckt 8, Octave 8
Music was scrapbooked out of an expired Monthly Misstlelette (saved from the paper recycler after the last Mass of the Month). We were poor in my teens and the vast majority of my sheetmusic was from this source and rummage sales. I rarely worked from real organ arrangements and mostly faked it. I probably don't belong here with all the professionals and advanced students, but I'm here and wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. If you think you have nothing to be grateful for, thank the Almighty that I only uploaded 2 pieces for this holiday. |
