Composer: Dupré, Marcel
Sample Set: Grand Symphonic Cavaillé-Coll
Software: Hauptwerk
Genre: 20th Century
Description:
The first time I listened to this piece it sounded somehow "constructed", almost boring with its repeating patterns and metronomic regularity - but the more I listened and practised I discovered the hidden beauty of this quite early piece of Dupré. As well I've found some registrations of the GSCC to make it sound more like St. Sulpice than Rouen by choosing different mixtures for the Récit and Grand Orgue.
