Elegy (1916) written by Sir (Alfred) Herbert Brewer (1865-1928) who was the organist at Gloucester Cathedral from 1896 until his death.
Not only did he compose music for the church, he also transcribed some of Elgar's orchestral works to be played on the organ.
You get to hear the Swell Oboe 8' with tremulant as a solo introduction..... and later in the piece the Choir Corno di Bassetto.
