Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945) an Italian composer most noted for his operas.
His 1890 masterpiece Cavalleria Rusticana was so well received, that he took 40 curtain calls on opening night in Rome. There had been 14,000 performances in Italy alone by the time of the composer's death.
I programed an "orchestral" crescendo using the master crescendo option in Hauptwerk. It turns on all the tremulants and celestes; it only builds to 4' stops and the swell vox humana and oboe are the only 2 reeds that I used.
