I mainly play live pipe organs - a fine Holdich tracker organ in our parish church and a wonderful, large Compton theatre organ not far from home. The motivation for building a Hauptwerk system was originally to spend more hours experimenting with the limitless sonorities of the theatre organ. Now I have built the system, the chance to experience some of the finest classical organs from around the world has been equally wonderful. The console design is my own and includes a chamber below the manuals which hides the PC and amp - a normally unused space where the organist's knees never go.
