New user in search for help!

Hi everyone!

I am new to Contrebombarde but I am very amused to meet you all!

I know that this is not the best way to start a presentation post but I would really like to find someone who could help me :(

I currently own a Macbook Air and would really like to download Hauptwerk 4 (free edition) to test and play some organs, but unluckily I did not manage to find anything on the net, even if I literally spent days searching for a working url/site where I could download it. I would be very grateful if anyone of you who owns the download file of Hauptwerk could share it with me :/

Thanks to everyone for the attention :D

Firstly, I welcome you tp Contrebombade. Secondly, Hauptwerk IV was discontinued last year, replaced by Hauptwerk V, and then that was replace by Hauptwerk VI. You can get a fourteen day free trial of Hauptwerk VI here: https://www.hauptwerk.com/osx/

Unfortunately, since Hauptwerk IV was discontinued, at least I believe, there is no legal way to even get the free version without having to look in some "sketchy" areas, to say the least. Since Hauptwerk V, you can get a subscription so you don't have to pay the full price. That's what I have, and it's nice because when they switched from V to VI, I got upgraded for free. So I would get that, and if you don't like it, you can cancel at any time.

Yes, and even the Free version of Hauptwerk, that you can obtain somewhere, who still has the installer, that free version is very limiting to very small organs: (max 2GB ). So even the small interesting and free sample sets like Friesach, require more memory, so you need to purchase HW basic or Advanced.

Even then, with the max polyphony of 256, you won't be able to play much at all. I could barely play a cord with three stops on the great pulled (on the St. Anne's Organ) without some notes cutting out.
