View count: is there a bug?

I have found that if I listen to a piece that I have uploaded myself, my listening is counted among the views attributed to the piece. It's not much damage, of course. However, the utility (given and not granted that this utility exists) of counting views is weakened. And I find it embarrassing to see my 'audience' grow simply because I listen to my upload. I reported this problem to the site administrator a long time ago, but I have not received an answer. What do you think?

If you were paid money per view, or elected to a paid position, or awarded a new console when xxxxx number of views were totaled, then it would be a problem. As it is only a counter which doesn't really indicate anything except that someone clicked on a post (maybe they didn't listen to the music) I don't think it's a problem. I would expect that a poster would click on their own post to be sure it worked correctly and perhaps to check for comments.

I guess every time you view someone's comment, it counts as a listen as well.

I do not think so. I checked. After reading a comment, the number of views does not change.

You're right. I guess only when you play the piece again.

Exactly. It is enough for me to listen to the piece I uploaded to increase the number of views.
