Prospectum on radio silence again ?


It has been a very long time since we got news from Prospectum; especially on what's supposed to be their next release, Ansbach, which if I recall correctly has been in the works for over 8 years now ? Let's hope it doesn't become one of those announced projects that never actually releases, at least to make all the samplers' hard work worth it.
All I can assume is that it must have been resampled at least once, since they developped their new IR reverb technique, then again Weissenau also was resampled and did come out..

Gernot is a busy man and certainly doesn't focus only on organ sample sets in his life. Dominique did upload a demo a while back of his organ (Vézelise) which also was sampled.

Understandable. I still find it a bit awkward to have so little communication; we're left wondering will happen or not, so much suspense ! Once again I understand they do not owe customers anything, I was just curious of the situation.

Gernot is working very hard on different projects (that I can't speak about). He is always developping his IR technique and I can say that with the organ of Vézelise it sounds absolutly awesome. I organized last september a concert in Vézelise with both organ (and 2 organists), the real and is virtual brother. Gernot came specially from Germany to control and set all the audio system, but as he is also a true perfectionist, he decided to record again all mixtures stops during the weekend.
WHat I can say about the concert is that a lot of people didn't noticed any diferences between the original and its virtual copy. I rented for the occasion very high level loudspeakers.
I received a few days after the concert the new beta version with all new mixtures stops...... so I decided to record again what I prepared to upload on CCH. In the same time another member uploaded the work I wanted to post. So I decided to wait a little and take time to make some settings and tests with the sample . I think that I'll finish the record in a few days an publish before Christmas the entire recording of Couperin's "Messe des Paroisses" (I wanted first to publish only exercpts).
Gernot finds always something to improve because he wants perfect and the more natural souding samplesets. it takes time. He works more on aesthetics than on profitability.
As Ralph wrote, he has also a family and a big university project, writing his second thesis.
So I learned to be patient, because I know that the final result will be exceptional.
