Forum maintenance!

Dear forum masters (if anybody reads this at all!),

please check the forum regular and delete those silly bots and trolls, now flooding the forum!
It should be your task to keep the forum clean, we sample set producers and (hopefully a lot of members) pay for this and want a proper forum.
I've mailed them directly, no reaction at all by now!

A just appeal that unfortunately I see ignored up to this point.

RE: Forum maintenance!

It turns out that CBCH is probably running unattended. I would like to have an administrator (@cbamin?) as a contact person who responds in time to inquiries, deletes garbage in the forum and prevents the number of views from being systematically manipulated. I must confess to being unhappy with the situation at the moment and have therefore canceled my yearly subscription. If something changes for the better, I will of course resume my support.

I completely agree.
Those responsible for Contrebombarde.com, we should like this website to be properly maintained, and rubbish removed from the forum, and the users responsible for this banned. If maintenance is not carried out, the site will only become unsafe to use.
Thank you,
Alexander

I agree as well. I even wrote them directly a couple of weeks ago to offer my volunteer services to do such tasks if given administration privileges! I have not heard back. My next step is to snail-mail them such an offer.

I now have stopped the quarterly payment until a sensible solution is found.

I also have stopped my subscription. Such ignorance towards the users is not tolerable.

It appears that not only the Forum has been abandoned by MidiWorks. It's now more than a year ago that I sent a product query to MidiWorks via their website's 'Contact Form'. I was preparing an upgrade of my self-build system, and wanted to know more details about a 'row of pistons' to be sent from Canada to Australia, where I live.

No reply. Nothing. No "response to what I regarded as a common query before my commitment to a purchase and order.

A few years ago I was able to even send emails to the Contrebombarde moderator. But no longer. It appears he was the ONLY staffmember at Midiworks who 'understood the world of electronic communication. He may have left Midiworks, or whatever may be the case, and he has NO REPLACEMENT.

I've also been frustrated with how the site operates. Page loads seem to get slower and slower. I've emailed the admin, offering my software developer skills to help out, but alas I got no reply.

Wondering aloud: if no one is attending to the admin needs of the site, then who is paying the web hosting bill? If no one is attending to it, the whole site could go dark when the hosting company gets impatient, and users would get no advanced notice because there's no way for the web hosting company to communicate with us users...

That's a great point. I took the initiative today to copy and paste all of this forum's posts into letter format, and I'm sending it out directly to MIDI Works via the post-office today. Hopefully, we get a reply that way.
