Composer and organist Sylke Feldhusen (b. 1962) was born and raised in North Germany. She began her education in church music at the age of 14 and held a part-time job as organist in her hometown for some years before pursuing further education at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule where she took her final examinations in 1987. Shortly afterwards she began her career in Norway where she worked as an organist and choirmaster in Heddal and Notodden until her retirement in 2024. Feldhusen has composed a number of musical works, primarily organ and choral music. Some of her pieces have been published by Cantando Musikkforlag. Feldhusen has also been active in the craft arts and in 2020 published her first novel, “Lundefuglhjerte.”
