Thanks for the Forum

The Concert Hall is a wonderful resource to organ enthusiasts and I enjoy it so much for the variety and the quality of the recordings. I'm always inspired to practice harder and learn new pieces. I'd love to know how many members there are, and other statistics such as how many "listens," how many countries are represented -- you get the idea. I know that this is a powerful way to promote the organ and the music of it that all of us should celebrate, and support. The comments and background information are also greatly valued. Thanks for the forum. I look forward to reading more from members.

I want to add my thanks for the Forum as well. I've had many great conversations with others, but they are all hidden in comments on particular uploads. This is a great way to have more general conversations.

Hello Caper1,

Thank you for your post!

We are planning to put up 2017's statistics in January - as in how many members we have, how many uploads, countries that have users and so forth. This way all users will be able to see the growth of the community.

RE: Thanks for the Forum

Hi everybody,

I'd like to add my personal thanks for the forum as well.
This is a great place to start some more tech-related conversations for sure, which would otherwise be somewhat unappropriate to be started in response to a particular piece.

Last but not least, I'm happy to finally see the "URL hyperlinker" come to a good use after years of lying around in a dusty corner. :-D

Kind Regards,
-- Carsten

BTW, I noticed that there would be a number of additional places where the URLMatch function could be used at the CCH:
- User comments
- Piece descriptions
- Direct messages

Would be great to have it integrated there as well, since it would greatly improve the user experience to have hyperlinks that are no longer broken/incomplete. ;)

P.S.: Since I feel very comfortable with YouTube's auto-linked time codes in comments and in the description of a video, I think this would be a great added value here on piece descriptions and comments, too.

Will contact Raymond regarding a PHP code snippet that I just developed for that purpose -- hope he's still with you and in charge of the web site.

Best regards,
Carsten
