Swedish composer, organist, and conductor Hans-Erik Dahlgren (1954–2012) was born in Frösön and was educated in Linköping and at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where he studied with Einar Englund. Dahlgren spent much most of his professional career in Ostersund, Gotland, and Jämtland, where he was active as an organist, teacher, and choir director. As a composer, he wrote works in a number of genres.
