One of my favourite things is to look through charity shops for old sheet music. 9 times out of 10 what I buy is junk and ends up going back to the charity shop. Sometimes I'll like a piece or two in a book. However, today I found a gem -- and only for 79p!
The Orpheus Voluntaries Book 2. 12 pieces composed by J E Newell in what appears to be 1910, with this book coming from the 1950s I believe. If anyone knows anything about the composer feel free to share.
There are a variety of pieces for every occasion in a service and everyone I have played so far is great! Here is a wonderful Processional March. It showcases all the manuals' Trumpet stops. It starts on the Grand organ, moving to Positiv and then back to Grand before a quieter section on the Recit, before returning for a final run on the Grand organ.
Hope you enjoy! I'll certainly be uploading more of this book.
