Cortège de Triomphe (1956) Uploaded by: CarsonCooman Composer: Wilson, Roger C. Organ: Salisbury Cathedral Father Willis Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 75
This composite, dedicated to the Queen of Heaven, is based on the E.M. Skinner organ of the Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, Ohio. It uses similar sample sets (Mt. Carmel Skinner, Caen) in order to achieve a resemblance to the actual organ and its acoustics. However, it does not intend to exactly replicate the organ, but rather to give the resemblance as stated above. It is an American Symphonic type with reverb around 6 sec. It is a 74 stop organ with 4 manuals and pedal, and the keyboard compass in 61/32. The sound is characterized by wet acoustics yet still clear.
