Little biographical information seems to be available about Frederick R. Rickman. According to "Musical Times" he received his 'Associate of the Royal College of Music' in 1896. In 1905 he directed the Cotham Ladies' Glee Society in concert at Redland Park Hall, Bristol, England and also played an instrumental solo on the piano.
The Hereford Orchestral Oboe with sampled tremulant makes a beautiful solo stop. (it also can be used as a quasi vox humana in combination with strings and flutes)
