Swirling, whirling and swimming: A recurring stream of notes with random variations, slipping by just like a swarm of Koi fish. As they're wriggling through the crystal-clear water, the surface of the pond starts to jitter, producing tiny waves that eventually dissolve again.
"Three Asian Doodles" is an on-spot improvisation based on the scheme of five-tone music --- where "based on" means that the rule was not followed exactly: Consisting of the six notes C, D, Eb, F, G and Bb, the scale is basically C-minor with the A note left out. There are further exceptions to this basic pattern, especially in the third and final doodle when the theme introduces major chords. The "music and virtual images" doodle series gradually increases in volume/dynamics over the course of the individual pieces/movements.
