It seems "Ode to Joy" never goes out of favor with the congregations I serve. Years ago when I was living in Houston, TX I studied organ with Dr. Robert Bennett..... it was he who showed me the formula for creating the ornamented melody in the 1st restatement of the theme. You may think I've listened to way too much Barry Manilow over the years, because I have come to really enjoy putting in lots of key changes!
