Text upgrade?

I wonder how difficult it would be to provide the use of italics, bold type, underlining etc. in our comments and description boxes?

I've wondered that since the beginning, too.

No worries, I'll _definitely_ have this on my to-do list for the rebuild.
The syntax is called "markdown", a lightweight and easy to use formatting language used on many forums and other social media, e.g. Discord.

Cheat sheet here: https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet

However, this introduces a certain risk for end users... Hyperlinks could be crafted in a way that they don't actually point to the page that might be assumed on first glance; e.g. http://mysupercoolwebsite.example.org might be used as the visible link text in a comment while its URL actually points to http://somemalicioussite.example.org or similar.
